We're all going to die

Appearing around Amsterdam, these shell stickers state simply that as Shell is helping us all die, presumably with their power-generating activities.

Photography: work I’ve made and things I think about it

I’m a photographer. I embraced digital years ago for its ability to engage my obsession with categorisation. I’ve taken it to the extreme with an archive now in excess of 400,000 images. Keywording is a daily activity for me. I also shoot portraits, work in analogue from time to time. I find that the medium of a website, which I kind of fuse with the idea of a magazine, is perfect for how I work. This site is fluid, experimental, and like life, subject to change. It’s inspired by the idea of the street in that you never know what you’ll see or encounter once you leave the safety of home.

Why validate?

One of the important maxims of computer programming is: "Be conservative in what you produce; be liberal in what you accept."
Browsers follow the second half of this maxim by accepting Web pages and trying to display them even if they're not legal HTML. The problem is that different browsers (or even different versions of the same browser) will make different guesses about the same illegal construct...
