Writing &  communication

EdenFrost is a small agency based in Amsterdam providing communication services to a range of clients including amsterdam&partners, APM Terminals and holland.com among others. I curated, coordinated and created content for its clients with a focus on cultural events in Amsterdam and the region.

Wicked wordsmith

Whether writing succinct copy about cultural events or long-form articles and blog posts, I aim to write engaging copy that informs and inspires. I also take care to ensure copy is also easily readable for non-native English speakers.

Curating social channels

My ability to home in on the perfect image saw the Instagram channels of both I amsterdam and APM Terminals increase their audience and engagement.

Visuals & design

It wasn’t just words and images, I was also involved in design work including advertisements, brochures, banners and newsletters. I also undertook extensive image research to enliven client websites, publications, and projects.

Weekend Guide

Every week, even in lockdown, we produced this pithy guide about off-the-radar things to do in the city over the weekend. Think pop-up events, the hottest up-and-coming bands, fringe theatre or some rooftop party in normal times, and the best streams and online events during lockdown. Other guides include best gigs, films, and exhibitions including a separate guide for photography. Image courtesy of Below The Surface.

Photography

Amsterdam has two main galleries devoted to photography, Foam and Huis Marseille. One of the first things I did was to ensure What’s On listed their exhibitions, that the photography section was expanded, and that other spaces devoted to photography were also represented. Rembrandt year

In 2019, the Netherlands celebrated Rembrandt’s life, and nowhere more in Amsterdam, the city the artist called home. Over the course of the year I researched and wrote posts and articles about each of the exhibitions charting his legacy and influence.
